Bikaner Rajasthan Tours - Tour of Bikaner is situated in the northwest of Rajasthan was former capital of the princely state . Bikaner was the hub of art and culture of medieval India. It is situated 237 m. above sea level. Though much of Bikaner is desert but the irrigation of Ganga Canal has brought development of Bikaner. Junagarh Fort- Built by Raj Singh in 1587-93, it is very much similar to Jaipur Fort. Red and pink sandstone were used for the construction. You will find here as many as 37 palaces inside the fort built at various times by different rulers like Gurjars, Pratiharas, Rajputs, Chauhans, Bhalli, Rathore etc.It is surrounded by high walls and there is a 30 feet deep trench encircling it and there are 37 domes built inside the fort.

Lalgarh Palace- The palace built in memory of king Lal Singh was designed by noted European architect Sir Suinton Jacob. Sandstone was used for the construction and you will find here perfect synchronization of Western grandeur and Eastern craftsmanship. There are Belgium Chandeliers, intricate engravings, fine collection of paintings and there is a picturesque flower garden adding charm to the stunning Lalgarh Palace.

Jain temples of Bhandeshwar and Sandeshwar- Bhandeshwar Temple is exquisitely decorated with intricate glasswork and frescoes, while at Sandeshwar Temple you will find gold enameled wall paintings.

Devi Kunda Sagar – Find here the statues of the kings exquisitely displayed in sandstone. The memorial pillars of Rao Kalyan Mai is the oldest.

Karnimata Temple located in the suburbs of the city is a center of spiritual experience. It is dedicated to Karniji , an incarnation of Goddess Durga. This temple’s parasol is made of golden umbrella and there are intricate marble carvings all around also the silver gate adds to the charm. Here it is a belief that is a rat which is so frequent here touches a visitor, it is very auspicious.

Dhala Maru or Camel Festival -Held every year in the month of January. Camels from many countries participate in the festival. You can also visit the Camel Breeding Farm which is at the distance of 10km from the city of Bikaner.
