Nagaur Festival is an annual event and is one of the most important of the Rajasthan Fairs and Festivals.It is held in the month of January –February in the serene town of Nagaur . Though it is basically a cattle fair where an astounding number of 75000 camels,bullocks, horses are traded.

The Nagaur Fair is well known for trading of cattle like cows, bullocks, camels and horses. The owners of the animals agther in Naguar from all over Rajasthan. Their vibrant turbans adds much color to the fair.
Nagaur is famous for its bullocks and their fitness which attracts a large number of buyers. Bargaining continues till the owners and buyers decide upon a price. The hides of animals are also cut into different patterns and shapes and are put for sale.
As evening draws in Nagaur becomes alive with folk music. Their sing depict Rajput heroism and bravery as well as their tragedies and misfortunes . the strains of the songs reverberates to the distant horizons. And in the chilly night, one snuggles closer to the crackling camp-fire at the Rajasthan Nagaur Festivals. It seems truly out of the world experience.
